John Burke was the IT genius behind Ambit Energy. He engaged me early on to determine the needs for the business and drove the prioritization of IT projects across the business. John sought to include all players to ensure the end product was embraced, but tightly managed the scope in order to meet launch dates.

When system vendors failed to deliver, John started from scratch, architecting, coding, and building back-office systems and an IT organization that ultimately became the envy of the competitive electrical utility industry. The team and systems that John built were the result of seeking to be the best, but not letting perfection become the enemy of our progress.
